Shred Fest 2024

Shred Fest 2020
Shred Fest 2024 :
Saturday, May 4, 2024

Securely shredding old documents is a safe way to prevent identity theft. On Saturday, May 4, OCCU is hosting a free, on-the-spot document destruction event for Lane County and the surrounding community.

Bring up to four banker-size boxes of your sensitive documents to OCCU’s corporate office at 2880 Chad Drive in Eugene anytime between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.* and we’ll safely and securely dispose of them for you.

Can’t join us on May 4? Members of OCCU also have the opportunity to take up to two boxes of their old documents to any OCCU branch for shredding between April 8 and May 10. Find your nearest branch location: https://myoccu.org/locations

Shred Fest provides the community with free access to shredding sensitive documents. This event is open to the public and is meant to offer support to all of our community members.

We recommend you shred old:

  • Bank statements.

  • Tax records.

  • Receipts and files.

  • Bills or invoices.

  • Any other documents containing personal information.

Help us help our neighbors by bringing one or more food items to donate at this year’s Shred Fest!

We’re partnering with Food for Lane County to help stock its local food pantries and reduce hunger in our community. Most needed items are canned chicken or tuna, dry pasta, pasta sauces, cereal, and canned and boxed dishes. Bring nonperishable food items with you to Shred Fest this year and help to provide a meal to an individual or family in need.

Please note: We will dispose of sensitive documents until shred service trucks are full.
