Securely shredding old documents is a safe way to prevent identity theft. On Saturday, May 30, OCCU is hosting a free, on-the-spot document destruction event for Lane County and the surrounding community.
Bring up to three boxes of your sensitive documents to OCCU’s corporate office at 2880 Chad Drive in Eugene from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. or until bins are full, and we’ll safely and securely dispose of them for you.
Can’t join us on May 30? OCCU members also have the opportunity to take up to three boxes of their old documents to any OCCU branch for shredding anytime between May 4 and June 12. Find your nearest branch location: https://myoccu.org/locations.
Shred Fest provides the community with free access to shredding sensitive documents. This event is open to the public and is meant to offer support to all of our community members.
We recommend you shred old:
- Bank statements.
- Tax records.
- Receipts and files.
- Bills or invoices.
- Any other documents containing personal information.
