When you’re in a hurry or you just need to grab some cash, ATMs are a convenient way to satisfy your banking needs. But they have their limits.

At least, they used to.

Meet the next evolution of your neighborhood ATM: video teller service. Our video teller service gives you all the convenience of a traditional ATM—without its transaction limitations. If you have a question or need to talk to a teller, you can speak with a member of our local team without ever leaving your car.

We’ve been busy installing new and improved ATM technology with enhanced security and accessibility features. Now we’re rolling out phase two, which allows built-in video capabilities. But don’t worry—our face-to-face tellers aren’t going anywhere. Video teller service isn’t replacing our branch team; rather, it’s allowing our team to grow. We’ve hired a new crew of video tellers to provide you with expert, specialized support as we explore this new technology together.

Here’s what you need to know about our new video teller service:

What is video teller service?

Video teller service is available through an automated teller machine (ATM). Visit an updated ATM like usual to begin using this upgraded member experience.

Your visits are interactive with video teller service because you have the option to connect with one of our local team members through video to get your questions answered. It’s convenient, secure and doesn’t require an ATM card to use. All you need is a photo ID to get started.

Think of video teller service like an in-branch visit with our friendly team—without having to leave your car.

Will this technology replace OCCU team members?

Not at all. In fact, we’re growing our team to bring you this new member service option! We’re adding a local team of experts that will be ready to support you.

Can video teller service do the same things as an ATM?

Yes! Video teller service can do the same things as an ATM, plus more. Here’s a list of transactions you can complete:

  • Cash a check.
  • Deposit cash/checks.
  • Get an advance on a loan.
  • Make payments.
  • Order new debit cards.
  • Transfer funds.
  • Update information.
  • Withdraw cash.
  • Exchange bills.

The best part is having a local OCCU expert on standby, ready to connect by video. They can help guide you during your visit and help get your questions answered.

Where can I go to use video teller service?
