What is a contactless card?
Your new OCCU Visa card contains a chip that lets you make payments securely to merchants across the country without your card leaving your hand. If you’re using your card at the register, you can now enjoy tap-to-pay at participating merchants. No more swiping, then reswiping, then accidentally taking your card out of the terminal too soon — you know the drill, and it’s a thing of the past.

Making payments from external accounts
To set up automatic payments or make a one-time payment from an external account:
-
Hover over “Manage Cards” at the top of your dashboard.
-
Select “Card Management” and hover over your credit card. Select the “Manage Card” button.
-
To make a payment you will select “Payments from other institutions” then select “Set up and make card payments from non-OCCU accounts.”
The first time using this feature you will need to verify your identity by providing the information asked and accept the terms and conditions. Going forward you will not need to enter this information.
-
Once you have completed the verification questions you will be able to manage your credit card.
-
On the main Card Management page, you will select “make payment” on the right-hand side of the screen.
-
You will then have to accept a second set of “terms and conditions” for making payments and hit next.
-
On this page you can add your external account, select payment date, payment amount and enroll in autopay.
Important note: When setting up an external account it may take up to five calendar days to verify your account. Once this is completed you will then be able to make payments using your external account.
*Recurring payments from an OCCU account can be managed directly in MyOCCU Online & Mobile under the Transfers icon. If you would like to set up a recurring payment from an external account, please contact us via Secure Message through the Message Center in MyOCCU Online & Mobile or call our Member Contact Center at 800.365.1111.
