OCCU recognized as a leading Oregon-SW Washington corporate donor

Eugene, Oregon – OCCU has been recognized by Portland Business Journal as a top philanthropic organization in Oregon and Southwest Washington as part of the 2023 Corporate Philanthropy Awards.

OCCU placed 18th on the list of top philanthropic companies among both national and local organizations of similar size. In addition, OCCU was honored at the 19th place on the list of companies of all sizes that gave $1 million or more to regional nonprofits.

The award highlights OCCU and OCCU Foundation’s more than $1 million in charitable giving in 2022, a year in which both organizations partnered with a diverse array of nonprofit organizations. Partners served thousands of meals to hungry local families, provided dozens of academic scholarships, promoted community and economic development and more.

The Portland Business Journal Corporate Philanthropy Awards program recognizes regional companies that are making a visible impact in their communities. OCCU placed 24th in the Enterprise category in the 2022 Corporate Philanthropy Awards, based on 2021 giving.
