If you’ve never deposited a check through our app before, don’t worry. We’ll walk you through it. Here’s our step-by-step guide:
Step 1: Download the MyOCCU Mobile app
Visit here to download or search for “MyOCCU Mobile Banking” in your app store to download the app onto your device.
Step 2: Log in to the app
Enter your username and password. The first time you log in, you’ll get a prompt asking whether you want to allow the app to access your device’s camera. For depositing checks, you’ll need to enable access.
Step 3: Prepare your check
Sign the back to endorse your check and write the words “For Mobile Deposit at OCCU.”
Step 4: Navigate the menu
Tap the menu icon and select “Deposit Check.” Read and agree to the disclosure as prompted.
Step 5: Select an account
Under “Deposit Account,” tap “Select an Account” to choose where you want the funds to go.
Step 6: Enter the amount
Under “Amount,” tap the box to enter the amount of your check. No need to include decimals—the app will take care of that for you.
Step 7: Photograph your check
Tap “Check Front” and follow the prompts to take a picture of the front side of your check. You’ll need to place the check flat on a contrasting surface and make sure there’s enough lighting to capture the image. Then tap “Check Back” and turn your check over to capture the back side.
Step 8: Confirm your deposit
Double check your account and the amount of the check, and tap “Deposit Check” to finish the transaction. You’ll get a confirmation message to let you know your deposit was successful.
