Promoting well-being across our communities
Rooted in OCCU’s vision to Enrich Lives, OCCU Foundation extends our commitment to strengthening the communities we call home.
Since 2018, the Foundation has invested in local nonprofits, community partners and programs that help people and families across our region thrive.
Our giving is guided by three pillars: financial health, physical health and basic and emerging needs. Through these focus areas, we support efforts that expand opportunity, improve well-being and respond to the changing needs of our communities.
Together with our partners, we have:
- Invested in nursing education to help expand local care capacity
- Supported early intervention and diagnostic testing for stroke, heart and vascular care
- Funded opportunities that promote movement, physical health and overall well-being
- Supported food pantries, resource centers and programs that help meet basic needs
- Partnered with local schools to expand access to financial education for students
We are grateful for the local nonprofits that work every day to strengthen our communities. While OCCU Foundation cannot fund every request, we focus our grantmaking on projects that create measurable impact and align with our giving pillars.
